A Story of Hope

The Hope Chest is far more than an upscale resale women's boutique. Combining fashion with philanthropy, we're on a mission to change lives!

Founded in 1994, The Hope Chest founders had a vision of changing lives and futures for women and children fleeing domestic violence. From this vision, our non-profit was born. Through the sale of gently used women's clothing, footwear and accessories, we fund and support Pillars Community Health's Constance Morris House (CMH). The Constance Morris House - a shelter for domestic violence survivors - provides free & essential physical and emotional health-related services to support and promote the well-being of women and children.

In 2021, we reached a remarkable milestone...OVER ONE MILLION DOLLARS in support have gone to The Constance Morris House since our doors first opened in 1994! And we have you to thank. Because of your unwavering support, you have been the engine that fuels change. For women, for children, for future generations.
Thank you!

You can support The Hope Chest directly through the DONATION button above.

Sustainable shopping is not a fad. Here's how donating and buying second-hand clothes helps build a better world. You can help!

Save Water

2,700 gallons of water are used to make just ONE NEW pair of jeans and ONE NEW blouse.

Reduce Land Fill

The equivalent of one clothing-filled garbage truck is dumped in a landfill EVERY. SINGE. SECOND.

Create Healthier Oceans & Marine Life

35% of the micro-plastics in our oceans come from newly manufactured clothing. Buying second-hand reduces pollutants, chemical toxins and sustains healthier marine life.

Breathe Easier

Buying second-hand reduces annual carbon emissions produced by fashion industry manufacturing.
